Supplemental Oxygen
Supplemental oxygen can be used to treat central sleep apnea by improving oxygen levels and reducing the frequency of central apneas and arousals during sleep. It is typically considered when CPAP or other positive airway pressure therapies are not effective or not tolerated, and may be especially helpful in high-altitude CSA or coexisting hypoxemia. However, it does not address the underlying cause of CSA and is usually part of a broader management plan.
