One of the best ways to both keep informed and to advocate for your loved on. Because of the complexity of a hospital system, mistakes easily happen. This requires a lot of endurance because there usually is not a schedule when various consultations will occur. And while most specialties will come by during normal business hours, some will come in after hours because of their day time clinics.
I usually do this for my shifts, but I found it did help facilitate the care for my loved ones.
It's one of the best ways to follow your loved one's progress and to get an idea of what the current situation and plans. The alternative is to talk to each doctor which is time consuming though helpful.
While considered first line therapy for hair loss because it can be given topically or orally, I am less enthusiastic because it has a potential in reducing libido and erectile dysfunction. It's mechanism is to inhibit 5 alpha reductase that converts testosterone. Thus topically, it has less systemic side effects, than the oral pill. If I were to use this, I would recommend the topical agent more.
